Designer Makoto Segawa was born into a family of Kyo-Yuzen painters and kimono tailors, and spent his childhood in a workshop.
In 2015, he co-founded MAISON FLANEUR with an Italian company, and served as both designer and creative director. Aiming for more conceptual direction, he launched the brand.
The brand pursues the inheritance and reinterpretation of the world's artisan techniques, and universal manufacturing inspired by subcultures.
